Les Portes du Soleil, one of the world’s most extensive skiing domains, links 14 resorts across France and Switzerland.

All resorts feature slopes ranging from easy (green) to difficult (black) and combine to provide 650km of piste and snowzones (boardparks).

The season runs from mid-December to the end of April.

Passes are available for individual zones or the whole area covering a wide range of time periods.

All the ski areas listed are linked either directly by lifts or by regular ski-bus services which run through the valley from Abondance to Chatel (some free, others for a nominal fee)

All resorts are well served by multi-lingual ski schools offering group and private lessons at all levels.
